A Little Bit About Me...

My passion for literature and writing led me to study English for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. This interest and enthusiasm for reading literary and academic texts transferred into my freshman composition courses, where I taught students to construct expository and analytical essays. Besides a focus on basic essay format, grammatical corrections, and sentence structure, I also encouraged students to develop their interpretive reading skills. While acquiring my graduate degree at the University of Connecticut, I was a Teacher’s Assistant, and I also taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and Manchester Community College in Connecticut during the Fall of 2009, and the Spring of 2010.
