I have taken education classes at Northern Kentucky University. At one point, I was considering on being a Art Teacher. I didn't finish with that path, but I did gain much experience with children and knowledge during that time in working with students. I have worked and studied special needs children as well. I still consider going back for a Master's at some point in education. I think this job would be beneficial in my goals, and for my students, and a great learning experience for us both.
I am not overbearing. I am laid back, but at the same time, I make sure that the student learns what he/she needs to learn. I am very patient. I try to respect the student and not make learning seem like a chore. Building a foundation of learning skills, even during a short tudoring session can really change a student's approach in all of their classes.

I worked as an instructional assistant in a high school FMD classroom for almost a year. At another placement, I taught junior high, intermediate, and primary age children in all core content areas of instruction. As I have also worked as an individual and small group instructor for a variety of parochial school placements. My main belief when it comes to teaching is that all students can learn. As an educator, it is my responsibility to make my students successful.
