A Little Bit About Me...

I typically will meet with students in their home or at a local library. I prefer that the student bring their books and notes from class so that I may see what the student needs to work on.
I have been tutoring mathematics in the Cincinnati area since 1997. I have worked with students ranging from elementary school through college level. This past school year I worked with a senior high school student on his pre-calculus schoolwork; we met once a week and he was able to improve his grade enough to pass the class and keep his athletic scholarship to Indiana Tech. I also mentored a freshman high school student in the area once a week and participated in the tutoring program at the South Bend Juvenile Correctional Facility.
I always try to encourage the student to do the problems on his or her own, especially in math. In our current education system, students are allowed to move to more difficult courses without having the necessary building blocks.
