My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : Took Shakespeare in college and have studied some of his writing over the years. Have not formally taught Shakespeare, but have explored a couple of his sonnets in my class.

I believe in creating routines to add structure to the learning environment as most of my students progress better in a very structure classroom. I have been noted in my evaluations as making solid connections with most of my students by taking a personal interest in their academic progress. While I do not believe in extrinsic rewards, I will use them to motivate students when necessary. I am organized and pride myself in being able to stick to the lesson plans I have devised.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a quite versatile and adaptive teaching style. I try to tailor my approach to the strengths and specific needs of my students. I have taught a few different subjects including Reading, Math, Grammar and English in a variety of different grade levels.
I am a recent graduate of Arizona State University. I plan to become a high school teacher. I have experience tutoring and mentoring high school and elementary students. I was a mentor in high school and a National Honor Society tutor for 3 years. I also tutored elementary school students for a semester (part of America Reads and Service Learning).
