A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my undergraduate years, I was recognized as an outstanding student and held the maximum number of teaching assistant positions every semester. I often met students in the library to hold tutoring groups, and I handed out my phone number in case someone needed my help anytime. I am currently working on my teachers certification, and my long term goal is to teach high school science. I have a passion for education and science, and I believe that my purpose for benefiting humankind is to train the future men and women of our country.
My preferred method of teaching is hands-on, through real experiments. I taught all subjects for adult learners preparing for the GED tests through Region IX Education Services Center's Adult Education program for 4 years in the evenings. I also taught English as a Second Language to adults. I am an Adult reading tutor for adults who could not read. I taught mathematics, vocabulary and biology to high school graduates preparing to take the nursing entrance exam at Vernon College. Graduated the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in mechanical engineering and a Spanish minor. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a tutor for the past five years. I have experience working with students with different levels of comprehension, i.e. those struggling to graduate and coaching those involved in UIL academics. I was an accomplished UIL competitor as well as a coach of the number sense/math/science teams at the previous school where I was employed. My strengths lie in mathematics (Calculus for example) as well as physics.
