I believe all children have their own pace and develop their own learning styles in which they are able to comprehend the knowledge that is being taught to them. Teaching Science I learned that by observing and working hands-on with experiments children really get involved with the process and in the outcome learn from the experience. I believe by letting students experience education they are more involved in their education and want to learn.
Since my graduation from Southeaster Oklahoma State University I substituted on all grade levels from pre-k to 12th grade for 2 years. I have always loved to teach, and loved to travel and meet new people. This led to traveling for a summer during college to Mexico City, living with a Spanish-speaking family. I also spent twelve weeks in West Africa teaching ESL and speaking French before my senior year at OBU. After graduation, I lived in Northern California (where I had also spent a summer during college), teaching ESL to adult Mexican immigrants, tutoring middle-school Korean students, and spending one summer in Southeast Asia while earning a Masters and TESL certificate. A Little Bit About Me...

I feel that all students learn differently and for that my teaching styles vary. I am a visual person so; I that all children can learn when shown examples of what I am trying to teach them. I am very hands-on as a teacher and I want your child to be involved in their learning. Above all, I love children and I feel that all children can learn if just given a chance.
In 2006, I earned my bachelors degree in Elementary Education K- 8th grades. My cognate was concentrated in the Socials Studies areas. I have a great love of history and always traveling to learn more about interesting parts of the country. After graduation, I taught Commercial Science grades 6th thru 8th in a middle school. I have taught computers for the past two years in the same school. I have also substituted in all grades and all subjects.
