My comments on tutoring Calculus I : I have passed my AP Exam in high school with a 3. In college, I plan on majoring in Mathematics and I will continue to take more math courses.

I am currently finishing my first year in college. I have a High School diploma and an award as an AP Scholar. I enjoy math and I am passing my DS-71 math course with an A at Fresno State. I have recently declared my second major in teaching mathematics. In college, I am ahead by a semester since I transferred over 36 units for my degree.
I teach in many ways through a book or how I was taught by my teachers. I am open-minded and try to figure out what is the best way to teach a person I am trying to help.

During my travels through school i have had my fair share of peer study groups to help with the learning of the material to pass classes. I have also helped allot of my peers with understanding as well. I have tutored through Lassen Community College helping students who were struggling with the concepts of math at lower and higher level classes. One of my professors called me an asset to any tutoring group or peer study group in a recommendation letter to Merced College for tutoring. A Little Bit About Me...

As a college student, I enjoyed helping others and began working in the tutoring center at Merced College. After I transferred to CSU Stanislaus, I worked both at the tutoring center and for a state program that placed me in one of the local high schools to work with groups of seniors with low math scores in order to help improve their SAT scores. After graduation, I was hired as a substitute teacher. However, the classroom setting was not as enjoyable as tutoring. Shortly afterwards, I moved to NYC and while there took several classes in business. After returning to California permanently, I began work in the tax industry, during this time I have had several summer jobs working as a tutor for the California Department of Rehabilitation.

Also, I got my AA degree from Merced Community College and transfered to CSU Fresno where I got my BA degree, both in Spanish major.
