I teach to students' specific learning style. Not all students learn using the same style and I work very hard to meet each students' individual needs.
I have been teaching for more than 35 years. I recently earned my Masters Degree in curriculum and instruction in Literacy. I have obtained certification with that degree a Master Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist. I have studied the best methods students learn and how to deliver instruction to meet their needs. I currently teach Reading to struggling readers at Dillman Elementary in Muleshoe ISD.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have found over the course of my schoolwork that I excelled most in math. I would consider myself a strong candidate for your child's tutor in this subject. My hands-on approach teaches through a student's mistakes. I point out where the error occured, and then show how to correct it as we work through the problems. This+repitition=success. I am also a passionate musician, and I can teach bass guitar to beginner and intermediate level musicians.
I prefer a hands on method where I give the student examples and I watch as they work through them. This is especially true in Math. I have found the best way for a student to learn is to correct mistakes as they go. Through repition this will bring success.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a passion working with children. All children can learn if they have the right guidance. I believe I can provide the guidance they need. English is my speciality and they will improve with my teaching style. My father taught English as well as my mother. I know I can make a difference. *In addition, I have extreme patience and have worked with special needs children.
l have a BA in Communications and also in English. My background includes Substitute Teaching. These grades and subjects include Language Arts Grades 6-12, Grammar Grades 1-6, PE grades 1-12, Adaptive PE Grades 1-12, Special Education All Grades, and Health Grades 9-12.
