A Little Bit About Me...

I currently work and teach at the International School of Tegucigalpa. I am a high school world history, psychology and comparative government. I have also taught economics at the high school level. I have tutored students in Language Arts at the high school and middle school letters. I am also literate in Spanish.
I really enjoy teaching and using a variety of educational methods to reach students. Some students respond much better to one-on-one teaching methods than they do in a larger class environment. I know that students can work and achieve if the right kind of motivation is given. Each child has their own learning style and interest which needs to be taken into consideration when working with thenm and then to be taught in that mode and style. A Little Bit About Me...

I was a Missionary in Panama for fourteen years. Learned Spanish through a two-year course in the country. As a missionary, I went on to teach Literacy and Bible to indigenous peoples there. After coming home stateside, although not certified, I earned extra income by giving classes in English to Hispanics in my home. I also taught English to monolingual Hispanics through an Afterschool program in Northeast Elementary, Jackson, MI. I worked as a Paraeducator in Northeast Elementary, as a General Education Paraeducator, but I often subbed for regular ESL teacher aides in the classroom.
