Academic background and professional experience are the first important considerations for an early childhood education teacher. Having undergraduate work geared toward early childhood is a must. Post graduate work in early childhood can only enhance an early childhood educator. Professional experience in the field of early childhood will show the teacher and the school system if working with young children is where the teacher really belongs.
