I have reached the age of 50 and my experience includes raising 5 children ALL of which are successful students at Rosary Cathedral and Central Catholic HS in Toledo, Ohio and the University of Toledo. Lived in the UK for 8 years and studied and performed Shakespeare's work professionally. Taught Desktop Publishing and Graphic Design at Reading College of Art and Design, Reading, Berkshire UK. Upon graduation from the University of Toledo, I have worked in two different school districts and in almost every grade level. In the Springfield district I was a teacher aid in both first and second grade where I assisted children with learning disabilities. I currently am working with the Bedford school district where I am a literacy coach and I teach students from K-6th grade to because better readers. I also work with these students on their Math skills. In my free time I work at subway and I coach Freshman girls basketball at springfield high school and rec. co-ed soccer.
I believe the key to teaching is finding what each child is interested in and making that connection. Every child is unique and learns best in their own special way. Teachers have the ability to change the world and I feel extremely lucky to be a part of that.

While pursuing my MA in Medieval Studies, an interdisciplinary degree combining history and literature, I was able to teach six sections of Medieval 145: Heroes and Villains. The sections averaged 40 undergraduate students of various ages and I enjoyed sharing my love of history and literature with them. At the same time, I was able to help shape their writing and research skills. I learned the ever-important lesson: if you can research it, you can teach it!
