A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is unique to each student's indivdual needs. I take time to recognize my students learning style and provide the need materials or teaching style based their needs. I prefer tutoring to working in a classroom because I can give each student the specialized one-on-one time they need to help not only keep them on track with their school's requirements, but also introduce them to better study habits that could help them excel in the classroom when they do return to school.
During my years attending UMass Dartmouth, I recieved my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration. But I also gained alot of experience working with children. Prior to my second career in the field of service to at-risk senior citizens, I taught English for four years at Westport High School. Following the reduction in force made necessary by budgetary constraints, I taught for ten years at the Crystal Springs School in Assonet, MA as a Special Needs teacher.
