As far as teaching goes, I am mostly here to help the person with the way they write their papers, organization of paragraphs, spelling, whether or not the writing makes sense to the reader, and whether or not the reading understands what is written. I believe in being honest about my critiques to the person's writing and being a fair judge all to help the student improve his or her skills so they can become not just good but great at what they are doing. As far as drawing goes, I will do my best to help the person understand the concept of shapes and building a good foundation for their art work.

I recently completed a degree in Creative Writing with a focus on poetry, fiction, literature, and literary and cultural theory. Completion of a thesis focusing on the deep investigation of language and narrative as they function in Postmodern Women's Poetics, with a corresponding lecture presented at Goddard College on the manifestation of the gender binary through the entrance into language and the symbolic order, and how the semioclasm of postmodern text and the interrogation of classical feminism might open up space for a new non hierarchical access to language. A Little Bit About Me...

I'm patient and listen to the student to see what they get and don't get about the premise of the lesson. Then we get to it. Careful reinforcement of the Correct method will ensure Remembrance and Results. Also, Lessons must be approached within the context of the Big Picture. Students need to realize that there are no pointless or forgettable sections. Basically, communication is key followed by practice, reinforcement, more practice. Learning can be at pace, but laziness and whining will not be tolerated.

Working with people has developed as a passion in my life. From an early age I have found myself looking for ways to improve the lives of people around me. I believe that everyone should have an equal chance to reach their academic potential no matter how far away their dream may seem. I hope to bring the gift of words to people in my area so they can say what they mean and showcase their ideas in a manner other than just saying them out loud. Sharing knowledge is the best way to become a well-rounded student, and I hope to influence my students by showing them that their writing can take their ideas to another level, and give them an outlet to turn to in order to keep track of their educational conflicts.
