I also have had a pet-peeve for words that are incorrecly spelled and when there are grammatical errors in something professionally done.

A Little Bit About Me...

I like the tutoring environment because I like seeing individual progress. It is easier to assess where the child is. I believe that the basics are essential to moving forward in education. Memorization of math facts makes it easier for a child to learn new material because he isn't bogged down. I don't believe enough emphasis is placed on arithmetic in today's schools. Basic arithmetic skills make story problems easier. Types of story problems need to be practiced, not just thrown in at the end of a chapter without much information on how to do it. I am patient and punctual. I like being with students.

I know how to help students study and learn. I can teach ways to get important information from notes and textbooks to help students complete assignments and increase test scores.
