I have taught for four years from Kindergarten to Third Grade. I was responsible for teaching math, reading, english language arts, social studies, science, phonics, and handwriting. Besides teaching at the Elementary level, I was the Gifted Coordinator for students in grades Kindergarten to 12th. I have made accommodations to fit the needs of each student and use enrichment to help students learn to their highest potential. I have earned both a BS and Ph.D. in Chemistry. I have experience in all areas of chemistry from my extensive research background at several institutions. After completing my doctorate, I spent 4 years at the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) as a postdoctoral fellow. During my tenure at NIST I spent 2 years devoted to mentoring middle school girls, served as judge at several scientific conferences and career advisor to undergraduates at my Alma mater. I have been a tutor since I was an undergraduate. I tutored Chemistry, Math, Biology and Physics. As a graduate student, I held the position of teaching assistant in General Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and medicinal Chemistry for a total of 4 years.

I would like to use my education and talents to tutor students. I earned two degrees, one in biology and the other in health science. I am very knowledgable in biology, general sciences, anatomy and physiology, as well as chemistry and math. Irecently substitute taught all grade levels (pre-K to 12 grade). I understand the curriculum and what is expected of the students. I also taught in an alternative classroom setting at Clemson Youth Learning Institute and understand there are many ways of learning.
