When I became a teacher one of my professors taught me something that I have used in all my work. He said "teach those who learn, inspire those who will be inspired and love all the rest since you never know what will cause someone to want to learn or to be inspired". I have applied this to teaching, coaching anc consulting. in that I appraoch every situation as a teaching opportunity. In teaching I generally view problems 3 dimensionally and when explaining try to have several approaches as no one approach will fit all. I pose questions and assist with the solving of the question and ask for explanation of why the answer given was chosen. I am an upcoming May 2006 graduate from Allegheny College, majoring in English. Teaching information and giving examples that are relavent to the student's life and experiences help teach the student that learning is important.The advances in technology and utilizing these resources are very important.
