I have a total of 15 years experience speaking, reading and writing Spanish. I am very familiar with the different Spanish language variants. I lived in Chile for almost two consecutive years, and studied in Costa Rica for a short time. My B.A. is in Anthropology and Spanish, and my M.S. is in International Studies. I currently teach at a local community college. I have tutored elementary, high school and university level student with learning disabilities in Latin American history, the Spanish Language, English composition, music, Science, History, Geography, and other subject areas (and I've also taught both English and Spanish as second languages). I started off being an elementary aide/tutor in 1988 in public schools. I loved working with children so I decided to go back to college to become a teacher. I attended several colleges in different cities (where my husband, daughter and I lived at the time). We moved to Amarillo,Tx. in 1994 where I attended Amarillo College to finish my basic hours. I transferred to West Texas A&M University in Canyon,Texas. I graduated in 1998 with a BS in elementary education and a concentration in math- grade levels 1st through 8th. I have taught 1st and 3rd grade and also 8 years of middle school math.
