I love to be around children. There is no surprise I recently opened a toy store focused on classic and educational toys. I am passionate about teaching children and how to make a difference in their lives. I strongly believe that if a child can experience for him or herself how the skills he or she learns apply in real life, then it becomes an easier, and more successful experience. I will push for a dynamic and interactive class. The lesson needs to be constructive. I am university biomedical research employee and teach a biochemistry credit recovery program for high school students on the weekend. I completed a bachelor's in accounting summa cum laude in 2009. My freshman year at Clemson I tutored 7th graders in math. I was also a tutor in high school for a k-6 school for children with low-income families. It has always been a passion of mine to help others with grasping a subject.
My favorite part of tutoring is working with children who are frustrated with a subject and being able to break it down and teach it to them in a way that they can relate to. Also, the self-confidence the student gets that comes from being prepared for a test is very important.
