Will not give up until you get it!

Started learning CAD since high school. This involved starting from the basics of paper, pencil, and drafting tools for techniques. Conceptual hands on to be associated when moving into Computer Aided Drafting. Afterwards decided to complete certification in CAD and combine it with my Associate's in Mechanical Engineering Degree. Lets not forget that right after high school with the basics I was able to land a job through a internship and use the applied knowledge of CAD.

My comments on tutoring GED : have done workshops at university UT and college..very good teaching material

Aim at starting from the ground. Don't assume that students knows. Concentrate on concepts and having student understand. The point is having a reference from which the student can start from.
Ease up the burden...And find solutions not just formulas...You pay after each lesson all the time any time(tutoring from your own home)....Best of All: TRIAL LESSON IS FREE! Try it out: only need an e-mail and internet service for online service. Any questions let me know. Have taught over 8 years at various levels: from middle school to university students. Expert on teaching Calculus, Physics, Algebra and all levels of Mathematics. Very good at teaching statistics. Have tutored on Electrical Engineering and overall Engineering. Have also tutored University students on LSAT as a volunteer and for pay.

Experienced, certified, enthusiastic instructor! :)

As a 2009 graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, holding a Bachelor of Arts, with a minor in English and American Literature, and with the teaching experience that I have gained in various fields since 2004, I feel that I am well-suited for this job. I have taught Reading ESL at the Transmountain EPCC Campus, as well as French at L’Alliance Francaise d’El Paso, and Spanish/ESL/French at La Paz Language Academy. I will also be teaching a Spanish beginners’ course at the History Museum of El Paso, giving evening classes to staff and community members, once a week, during the Fall semester of 2012. I have also tutored high school and college students in Ethics and in Literature courses, and still do so quite often. My experience as a tutor has made me realize how much I enjoy tutoring. Science is my passion and I like sharing the knowledge that I have with those who need a little bit more help in. I feel that as I teach in my own style, I can better explain and help students see the topics/ideas in a different way, as I see it, to help them understand it and apply it better. I believe that no one can truly master something until they can teach it to others. Nothing has given me more satisfaction than when a student returns to me because they appreciate my patience and style of teaching to further help them along their courses. Yet, nothing makes me happier to see them succeed on a test score or on their grade in that course overall.
I'm currently attending UTEP, I will graduate in Dec. 2010 in Electrical engineering as well as receiving an Associate of Arts degree from EPCC. I worked for a ... read more

I have a social work background which, in my work has always been integrated with some component of teaching, both in and out of the classroom. I can teach most K-12 subjects, college prep courses and provide tutoring services including assessment and curriculum development. Teaching on a one-to-one basis is the most personal and rewarding experience that a teacher may have. Part of the reason for this dynamic between the teacher and the student is because a student can learn many times over when it becomes a one-to-one basis. Of course, if a student is predisposed towards a particular learning style that is effective then it must be utilized. Reward and knowledge must be a constant. Finally, but most important, I have always believed that a teacher must be more interested in finding methods that are effective teaching techniques instead of being too preoccupied in teaching knowledge that showcases the teacher when it should be the student that is of paramount importance.
My experience working with a diverse student community has enabled me to experience multiple learning capacities along with the added privilege of experiencing different cultures. ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

In the early sessions I ask my students a lot of questions to figure out their goals, problems, current knowledge and learning style. Based on what I find I build a teaching strategy. I then help them find appropriate materials if they don't already own some. I try a few methods to find the one that works best. If I'm teaching a language I like to combine grammar, vocabulary building exercises, as well as speaking and listening. I give them small quizzes to measure their progress. I help them find fun level-appropriate reading and listening materials. I give them sources online and information on what types of dictionaries are useful. I give them my email and tell them to contact me if they ever have any questions.

I enjoy teaching kids and particular the satisfaction that the kid gets when they finally understand the subject. I believe I must make myself fit to the students needs and not the student to my way of teaching, because there are many ways to have a kid understand the subject. Education is the tool that will open the doors of opportunity and will enhance your individual worth.
I worked as substitute teacher for the Denver Public Schools during my senior year of university. I have also worked and certified as instructor in the US Army in several fields to include math and science.

I have good analytical and diagnostic skills. I am able to take students at their present levels of cognitive ability and help them to progress and also reinforce concepts that the students might have missed and need to master for complete understanding. I am patient and encourage students to ask questions and offer suggestions. I firmly believe that teaching basic skills and study habits will create successful lifelong learners.
I have always loved teaching. I never had a desire to divert from teaching and become a counselor or an administrator. I have taught students from kindergarten to community college. I do not have a certification in math but I have taught k-8 math in special education classes and in mainstream classes through inclusion.
