A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with two Bachelors of Science in Marine Geology and Maritime Law. I teach sailing and environmental education in the summers. This means very little however as I aspire, one day, to become a lighthouse keeper. Sadly, few can find such a position these days. My oldest is a national merit scholar finalist, and my youngest son is captain of his high school math team. Math is fun, like a puzzle-once the student sees this fact, they begin having more fun and less fear of the subject.
I am a patient teacher, and I use many different ways of communication. I try to find the style of learning best suited to my pupil. Removing the fear of the subject seems to be the most important part.
