As stated above I enjoy working with children of all ages, I have made a difference in their lives as well as them making a difference in my life. I love the many challenges that teaching brings, and believe its a very good experience to discover. As a graduate I have done tutoring to enhance my credibility to teach possibly in the future with my major in criminal justice. A Little Bit About Me...

Public school is not always rigorous enough for gifted students. When instruction fails to keep students engaged, they learn poor study habits. Ideally, students master study techniques before entering college either through school instruction or tutoring. I have writing, public speaking and other communications courses at the university level. I have also worked as an editor for the better part of two decades so I am good at identifying writing problems and helping students to correct them. I am also an enthusiastic student of American history and government and enjoy sharing that subject with students.

Having been devoted to the welfare of children and families and valuing education highly throughout my life, I find tutoring a satisfying occupation. After vounteering my services for many years, I attained formal degrees in education, psychology, and counseling, with very high GPAs. I taught psychology and sociology for several years and have also tutored K-college individually and in groups for many years.
Recognizing that each person has his/her own learning style, I emphasize "application" of material learned.
