I would describe my teaching style as simple and laid back. I pride myself on my ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that allows students to focus on learning. In addition, many of my high school students, as well as peer teachers who I have tutored for the PRAXIS tests, have commented on my ability to break down topics into simple, manageable parts. A Little Bit About Me...

As an MIT graduate, I was particularly driven to excel in science and mathematics courses so as to be able to apply these to engineering and technology problems. I subsequently obtained two doctorate degrees: one in medicine and the second in law. I am currently working on the development and patenting of medical devices to improve medical care for patients. I have always loved teaching and tutoring and have done it for many years to supplement my income. My students tell me that I can explain the material in a very understandable way.
I really love teaching and finding different ways of using analogies and similarities to explain difficult concepts. I have been very successful in teaching the sciences and mathematics courses in an understandable way. After graduating from Haverford College with a double major in physics and astronomy, I worked for three years as an astrophysics researcher at NASA and Harvard University. In 2000, I became a teacher and a tutor. Since that time, I have taught children of all ages and adults in a wide variety of subjects. From 2002-2003, I designed and taught my own courses in physics and Calculus at the Academy at Charlemont. From 2004-2006, I completed a two year graduate program in physics education at the University of California, Berkeley.
