My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : I worked as an office manager for 5 years and have 10 years experience with Microsoft Office. I am proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and experienced with Access.

My teaching philosophy starts out with essentialism which believes in a strong core curriculum and high academic standards. I believe it is important to have a strong foundation on which to build upon. After ensuring a strong foundation I tend to lean more towards progressivism. I believe students should be taught what is relevant today while becoming more independent learners, by utilizing problem solving skills and critical thinking. My prior experience in teaching comes from over 5 years of teaching piano lessons to beginning through advanced students from age 4-adult. I enjoy seeing children learn new things. I know that every child learns differently. It is important to get to know the children that you are teaching and figure out what teaching technique fits there needs. I feel like I do an excellent job of portraying what I am trying to teach.
