A Little Bit About Me...

While teaching at Maryville Children's Academy in Maryville, Tennessee, I created learning activities for the Kindergarten Readiness and Four Year Old students. I also created the 2012 Space Curriculum for the preschool system. During my Internship/Student Teaching experience at Donald Yates Primary School and Ocooe Middle School I taught various subjects in the second grade, and I also taught Social Studies and Science in the sixth grade. The lights go on when a student grasps a subject.

Teaching brings me pleasure. What I do is to show them, help them, then have them do whatever I am teaching them to do. Sometimes one of the steps may have to be repeated, but this process really works well.
I have tutored my friend's daughter in math and English. I have assisted her with science and social studies projects. Her ADHD can inhibit the learning process, but we are able to work through the problems. Learning about weighted blankets helped me work with her. She is a kinetic learner. my nieces are both visual learners. I have to adapt to each learning style.
