As branch manager I was responsible for training all new staff. I have trained everyone from retail bankers through branch managers. Some of my trainees even moved on to regional management in other states.
I have also tutored college students in math and english. From 2003-2005, I homeschooled my mother-in-law's three special needs children with the pace system. I currently homeschool my two children as well. I believe that the individual child dictates my teaching style. I learned that no two children learn the same way. I usually start by asking the child questions that prompt them to figure out the answer themselves. I feel that children remember most information that the figure out on their own rather than something dictated to them. I also feel that generating proficient study skills is important.

When I was in college I always wanted to be involved helping shape the youth of our nation. It has been five years post-graduation and I still have the desire to continue my work with youth and adolescents. Why do I feel like that? The intention and the desire have always been inside of me: a craving to explore the cultural differences and environments in our society. My past experiences have taught me that I have an ability to motivate youth through rapport building and mutual respect. I know that touching one’s life is a huge reward to everyone involved.
