I have 15 years of teaching experience with special needs students in a rural school district. During this time i provided private tutoring sessions for Elementary, Middle, High School and College students. At the college level my tutoring experience is with reading, writing, study skills and organization. Currently I develop educational programming for incarcerated youth.
My belief is that all students have different learning styles. Therefore lessons need to be individualized to meet student needs. I have a strong math and science background. In college, I started out in chemical engineering (2 1/2 yrs.) and then switched to education. I like to use different methods to help students learn. I am a hands-on teacher who believes in having students discover their own successful learning styles.
