A Little Bit About Me...

It is important for me to help students understand through real world examples. I do my best to develop training material and a learning environment that is relatable to their ultimate application. Much of the training I do requires initial "buy-in" ... if a student does not believe what they are learning will have application and benefit for them, they will not be open to learn. I try very hard to build this confidence up-front.
For the last 20 years I have been in Sales & Marketing for various large companies (additional detal available upon request). In many of my positions, I have been selected to conduct training within the organization on business specific tools plus sales skills For the last 5+ years I have mentored a young man through Big Brothers / Big Sisters. Graduating from Concordia College in Moorhead with a degree in accounting, and a strong background of math and businesses courses has given me an excellent background in math. I also took various english and writing composition classes which has provided me with excellent communication skills. I have work for various customer service companies which has brought out my natural strength of handling human relationships. Which could prove beneficial when interacting with customers.
I believe that everyone learns in a different way so I approach teaching with a very adaptable style that adjusts to the person or people I am teaching. I love to find interesting and new ways to share information, and I find it very fullfilling to know that when I am finished teaching I have increased the opportunities for another person to succeed.
