As part of the requirement to be a member of Pi Delta Phi, the French National Honor Society at UCF, I was required to tutor French students of all levels on a regular basis. Learning a foreign language not only taught me French, but also gave me a new understanding of English. Being an instructional designer for the Military for six years, I can learn any subject in a short period of time (I write lessons on a new subject on a weekly basis). I have excellent writing and editing skills due to writing lessons every day. Later, as a homeschooling mother of four, I taught all of my children all subjects through the eighth grade level. I just returned from the island of Saipan, where I taught high school English in a private school, and seventh grade English in a public school. I served in the US Navy for six years after high school, providing me with a wealth of world experience. I excelled in my studies in the Navy's nuclear power program as a machinist mate and engineering laboratory technician.
