I love every aspect of music. I am a self taught guitarist as were Roy Clark and BB King. I learned on an old wooden guitar my dad found. I have played since I was nine. I would watch the neighbor boys play because they had lessons and I didn't. My experience includes playing contemporary Christian music with my church praise band. I played for the United H.S. production of "Grease". I also worked with the Salem H.S. Jazz Band and mentored students for a Musical Production. I am currently playing in the band, Uptown Saturday Night. We play music from the 60's through the 70's and are taking my area by storm. We play Eagles and American Legion Clubs as well as outdoor concerts and the Salem Hot Rod Super Nats to name a few.

A Little Bit About Me...

When a question is asked, I am not going to simply just tell the student the answer. I would want them to think it out and try and figure it out for themselves. I would however guide them in the right direction and even ask them other questions they may know in order for them to figure out the intial problem. I feel that these types of interactions are a more effective way of learning. Also, writing things down helps tremedously because not only are you thinking it, but you're seeing it and reading it as well. I am a very easy person to get along with, and I am also very encouraging. I enjoy helping others whether it's in an academic environment or not.
