Economics is one of my top subjects! Economics major in college, I will only take high school level students or students taking introductory level undergraduate courses (both micro and macroeconomics)

I received a LSAT Score of 169 when i took the test in June of 2012. I am a veteran tutor, having tutored at the TJ's Center at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fl., and will provide tutoring references upon request. I have graduated from Rollins College and will be a student at Georgetown Law Center, beginning in the Fall of 2013. I will also do my best to provide insight and answer any questions regarding the law school application process (no additional fee).
My basic structure will provide you with a general lesson plan to undertake seperately of the charged hours. During charged hours, we will go over your work and we will bolster your prepapredness according to your unique skill set. A Little Bit About Me...

I do believe that all children have the ability to learn the subjects however not all children are in the right mind to do so. My goal is to show in real world, understandable terms the subjects we will work on. I believe that if a child is explained the rules in terms and words he/she understands, then he/she will grasp the material and carry it with them into the future rather than trying to cram for an exam with no retention.
I graduated from UNF in 1993 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in the field of Management. The degree required classes in Accounting, Finance, Algebra and Economics. Mathematics has risen to be one of my preferred subjects, tutoring this subject for a year to date.

A Little Bit About Me...

After sub teaching the last couple of years I have found most kids want to learn but need a lot of "structure". If their personal "structure" isn't there it is difficult for them. This is also true for kids who are advanced. I believe in no cell phones, electronic devices, and trying to figure out what each child strengths and weaknesses are and then use those strengths to help them learn. I am not against having background music playing during homework time because it doesn't bother other children. It is a problem however in the classroom.
I am currently waiting for my certification from the Florida Department of Education, to teach math from grades 6 to 12, and chemistry from grades 6 to 12. I took Spanish throughout elementary, middle, and high school. I then took two Spanish courses in college. I've travelled to Latin America on four occasions and did fieldwork for my MA dissertation in Spanish. My level of spoken and written Spanish is high enough for tutoring at lower to intermediate levels. I spent 10 months in Brussels, Belgium. While living there I shared a flat with two native French speakers. I also took private French lessons for 5 months. I was also able to carryout day to day activities such as getting/giving directions, shopping at the grocery store, and going to the laundromat using my French. I am a believer in the old adage,” You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.” I believe that it‘s the instructor’s job to try to motivate the student to learn the subject. The instructor need to teach the student that the information is important and worth the student’s time. If the student is not motivated to learn then the session will not be as productive.

Formal experience: I have been an instructed or facilitated annual training sessions for the security releated jobs for the past 3 years with the US Navy. Every summer my office would hold training sessions where we would teach/publish updates to policy. We would teach these updates, sometimes with a formal test to verify completion, and award them with graduation certificates. Sometimes the training would be informational only, in this case the updates to policy would be taught and personal experiences would be shared but no graduation certificates would be awarded, only completion/attendance certificates would be granted.
