Math tutor

I have tutored many people of various ages, past students have been as young as 5 and as old as 17. I am 18 years old but am highly skilled in the area of mathematics having taken 8 math classes above Algebra 1. I like to teach and I also like to hear how people learn. I like to relate the subject matter to something that the student enjoys so it is easier for them to grasp. I do try to get students to make discoveries for themselves so that they retain the information longer. I try to instill a sense of passion with my work and I encourage learning beyond the accepted minimum. Based on my age I may seem inexperienced but I assure you that my skills are plentiful and I can rise to any needs.
I try to adapt my style to the needs of the student so I can teach in many different ways.

My second position was teaching Middle School Math and Science which included 6 different preparations. I have experience teaching and tutoring Fundamental Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus including AP work, Life Science, Physical Science, and Earth Science. Through my extensive course work at Grove City College and professional opportunities, I have acquired proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Publisher, and Excel.
