Theodore L - Burns, KS 66840 (48.3 mi) - Physics Tutor - $39.00/hr.
While working as a Designer at Boeing Aerospace I taught freshman level technical courses at Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. I taught there from 1993 thru 1999.
My classes included drafting, design, basic 2D AutoCAD, shop math, shop safety & general manufacturing practices. When teaching in a classrom environment I prefer to divide the class time between lecture and practice. When tutoring I use a sumwhat different approach. I first will have the student show me how they think they are supposed to approach the problem. I will then work through the problem & let them see where their approach is right & where they need to change. Using this method in a positve manner has proven very successful in the past.
