My comments on tutoring Algebra : I took Honors Algebra I in eighth grade, but have continued to use these skills in all of my subsequent math and science courses.

Teaching new concepts, practice applying the new material, review, and more practice of the material to solidify the concepts.
I have helped my classmates and have had one official student as of this summer. However, I have learned how to explain concepts so that students dont just memorize, they will gain a thought process and applicable knowledge that will enable them to solve even the most complex problems. Having this mentality of preparation and success will being them to reach their goals.
