A Little Bit About Me...

Previous students have often remarked on my practical teaching style, relying on real world examples and explanations for business and mathematics. The only way to remember information long term is to relate it to something tangible, especially in subjects like statistics and economics. Relating the ephemeral to the practical is important, and later allows for the information to be used in a real world setting much, much easier.

As a practicing librarian and archivist I have spent ten years helping children and adults navigate library resources and conduct research in various fields including Old English, Spanish, Latin literature, Business, Nursing, Physical Therapy, and the History of Science. As an undergraduate I studied English literature where I developed my writing and grammar skills and complemented that work with study of Latin Literature (I received a minor in this field).
