I took Calculus I, II and III in college. I did very well in Calculus particularly in Calculus II, earning an 'A'. I love math and enjoy teaching it. I am a CPA (Certified Public Accountant). During my study towards at BS in Chemistry I published a paper with a professor doing electrochemical research. I currently work at a small manufacturing company where I purchase raw materials, formulate products, supervise the manufacturing process and check the quality of the end product. Through my studies and work I have learned to apply analytical thinking to real world problems for results. During the past decade I have tutored in mathematics, science, philosophy, photography and literature. I love helping children see the beauty in the world we live. I have recently graduated from the University of Delaware and intend to pursue a Ph.D. in chemistry within the next few years. My major was in Chemistry with a minor in Biochemistry; I also focused on Theatre, Japanese, French, English, and Biology. I spent two semesters as a Teaching Assistant for General Chemistry and held personal office hours for tutoring regularly. I have worked at a learning center teaching students of all ages. I recognize many students have difficulties with mathematics and I try to relate to them and help them. Math was not always my strong point; I had to work hard to do well in my math classes.
