My undergraduate degree is in Civil Engineering and I have recently become eligible to teach elementary education, middle school science and middle school math in New Jersey. I have had success as a tutor on several occasions as an undergraduate teaching assistant and a peer tutor. Currently, I am assisting two students in high school math and they are both responding well.

Every person has the ability to learn! I have found the key is to establish a rapport with each student, and then find the method that works best for them. Some students learn better by hearing the concept. It is helpful for them to first have a conversation about what the subject matter is, and how it is used, and then proceed to the actual lessons.
