I am a sophomore mathematics major at the University of Texas at El Paso. I have taught a GED class for adults facilitated by the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso (HACEP) and the YWCA. I have 6 years of tutoring experience and other programs under which I tutored include the National Honor Society, Beta Club, and JROTC.
My teaching style generally varies based on who I am tutoring/teaching. I generally treat my students as adults and under the assumption that they will go to college. Aim at starting from the ground. Don't assume that students knows. Concentrate on concepts and having student understand. The point is having a reference from which the student can start from.
