I have taught and tutored since I was sixteen. I currently teach for USC, a few online universities, Syl. Learning Center, and am a Professional Writing Tutor. I teach all grades and university levels, but my specialties are AP Courses and university courses. I have taught everything from 4 yr olds phonics to College level writing and literature to basic maths and sciences to Calculus and Trig. I try to me more personable than most instructors. Many students simply need another approach to a subject to understand the material. I actively find that perfect approach for an individual student.

As an experienced teacher and adjunct instructor of English, I have a great deal of understanding of what is expected of high school and college students. I have been able to help many students attain their GED's, High School Diplomas and College Degrees. I hold a BA in English, An MAT in English and also a MS in Special Education. My teaching style appeals to all learning types. I use examples alot so that students may get a sense of what is requires. I like to break learning dowm into steps that that every step is mastered to conclude a full mastery of a topic/subject upon completion. I started my education degree tutoring for a company through No Child Left Behind. Later I advanced in the company becoming the Program Coordinator. On last year I taught High School English for grades 9th-12th. I am currently working as a Writing Lab Teacher in an Elementary School.

I enjoy teaching and do my best to make learning fun and easy for my pupils. I approach lessons by letting the student realize how and why the lesson is important and how it relates to their lives. I firmly believe everyone can learn; the style in which they learn may differ from others, but given the correct approach, all teachers/tutors can be successful. With my Bachelor's degree, I began tutoring through Reading Success and conducted private tutoring of Georgia History. I progressed to teaching English, Spanish, and some Special Education Resource classes at the High School level, and continued to teach lower level English classes at a local college along with reading in an Adult Continuing Education program through another college. My writing skills have been sharpened as I edited and wrote articles for newsletters, newspaper releases, and in an administrative capacity.

I have always valued education. I can remember comparing grades and discussing what we learned in class as early as 2nd grade. We had a healthy competitive spirit that helped us grown into productive adults. I first began tutoring in an afterschool program in 1995. I have always loved assisting students with learning. I have even considered getting my teaching certification. I currently have my MBA in Business management and feel most comfortable teaching math reading and English to children ages 5-12.
