I secretly love standardized tests. I have taken the DAT (Dental Admissions Test) as well as the NBDE part 1 and done very well. I have experience tutoring several students for the DAT. I would love to help more students with the DAT, NBDE1, SAT, ACT or any other entrance exams in my skill set. Studying for a different entrance exam? Just ask me what I can do! I am about to complete my first year at IU School of Dentistry. I completed my B.S. in Biology at IPFW with a 4.0 GPA and love learning! Science is my specialty but I enjoy other subjects as well. Teaching is very subjective. Each individual learns according to his/her own style. What I find challenging and rewarding is to find that point where it “clicks”. I believe the best way to learn is through experience and discovery. As an example, I can describe the intelligence of an octopus. But until you actually see a video of one opening a jar for a treat, do you truly realize it as a thinking, planning being. I feel that teaching an individual how to use available resources is just as important as the actual subject.
