Buddies are important because they give students someone other than the teacher to go to with questions that may seem "silly" and give them someone with whom to share concerns. I am currently the writing skills specialist at a local college and have three years of tutoring experience in writing, two of which were during the time I was completing my Master's Degree. In 2004, I spent six months teaching English in Korea. A Little Bit About Me...

As I mentioned, I have 3 younger siblings-I've been helping with homework forever, and I understand the frustrations that naturally occur when concepts seem elusive. Additionally, I am completely aware that I'm not perfect; I've taken a lot of upper level, difficult courses, and know what it's like to have trouble, sometimes with the easiest concepts. However, consistent interactions with a teacher helped me to find success in so many gruesome classes (Advanced Computational Biology, anyone?).
