Anna I. - Daytona Beach, FL 32124 (15.6 mi) - Italian Tutor - $50.00/hr.
MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Let me start by saying that in my family we have a lot of teachers, so it runs in my blood?.
I teach Economics and Business classes. I have been teaching for the past 13 years so I have plenty of experience. I meet 40 new students a month. I taught for several universities online and on campus.
Economics, my favorite course to teach is viewed by many as boring; there are right and wrong ways to approach questions, and finite answers to many questions. Of course, it is far more than that as economics should be viewed as a complex language with many shades of gray that necessitate complex judgment calls. I try to get beyond the procedures.
My approach:
A positive atmosphere. Students are called upon to discuss questions, but mistakes are treated as opportunities to explore misconceptions, not as a reflection of a student's abilities.
A window on the world.

Amira Isabel N. - Daytona Beach, FL 32114 (16.1 mi) - Italian Tutor - $32.50/hr.
My teaching method is to involve and have the student/s participate in field trips (when possible) to interesting sites where history, culture, art, and literature are available to students which attracts them and makes them want to learn and know about the chosen nation's language along with their cultures . This speeds up the student's learning abilities rather than always being confined to a classroom . Education and fun go together and makes the student want to learn more and become more eager. Have taught at Universities and High Schools since 1990 , my teaching included field trips to historical places in Sardinia, Italy and other European countries with students in groups of 25 or more. Field trips along with amusements does help students to learn languages , cultures, and history of targeted language of the nation that the students have chosen to learn to speak their language/s.

Angela D. - Orlando, FL 32828 (28.4 mi) - Italian Tutor - $30.00/hr.
My teaching style definitely has a communicative approach, it includes reading writing and speaking. I prefer the communicative approach because most students learn grammar but what good does that do them when they can't speak the language?
All lessons are based on communicating and being able to speak the language being taught. I have recently graduated from UCF and have received a Bachelors Degree in Modern Language Combination, languages includes: Spanish and Italian.
Last summer I had received a TESOL/TEFL certificate, training included many hours of studying and teaching. I have also obtained my TEYL (teaching young learners) certificate.
***I have taken many elementary education courses as well***

Kimberly T - Port Orange, FL 32128 (8.6 mi) - Italian Tutor - $38.50/hr.
I believe that having an education is the most important component an individual can gain. I have educated individuals on a day to day basis throughout life in the areas of Science, Math, and English. I feel that you can never know too much and there is always something new to learn. Learning is an important way to gain experience in life. Everybody strives to learn something different, each learns at a different pace and level making them unique. I believe in being there for a child, listening to their needs, believing in their potential, never giving up, determination, and positive reinforcement. After all, education is the stepping stone in life that lets us succeed and become who we will be in the future. The will to learn has driven me to obtain an AA degree in General Education, an AS degree in Respiratory Care, and a BS degree in Cardiopulmonary Science. I have been recognized as

I love teaching and can work with both adults and children. In teaching language, my teaching style relies heavily on inductive learning by means of a conversational approach, beginning with repetition of short dialogues and continuing with dialogue manipulation and application to real-life situations. Throughout, I try to make learning fun! In addition to my Harvard & Georgetown degrees, I spent my junior year in Paris at the Sorbonne and lived with a French family. I worked for 38 years at the Foreign Service Institute, Department of State, Washington, D.C. as a teacher, supervisor, education specialistm and language chairman. I have taught English as a foreign language, Spanish, Italian, and French. Andres B - orlando, FL 32826 (26.4 mi) - Italian Tutor - $40.00/hr.
Teaching my one of my passions, and i love to help out any student. I like to get to know the child first and become a friend with them. I feel that the child opens up more and can learn better if they feel comfortable with the person who is helping them learn the subject. Education is the most important thing for a child and being able to help someone out brings joy to me. Making sure the child understand and retains the material is the key to teaching. As a current student at the University of Central Florida, I am currently studying to becoming an educator. I have earned an AA degree at Palm Beach community college, and transferring to UCF will give me the opportunity to achieve my goal in becoming a teacher. I am currently in a field observation study program at the school which allows me to sit in on classes and observe and interact with students and the teachers work habits.

Clara D - Winter Park, FL 32792 (27.3 mi) - Italian Tutor - $34.50/hr.
I am a recent college graduate earning a bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Hospitality. Being an International Baccalaureate graduate, I have experienced working with foreign students who might struggle with English. My first language is French which makes me a perfect candidate to tutor French. I also have extended background in writing essays for my major. I have often tutored my two younger sisters (16 and 8) in various subjects. I understand how differently they learn and their differing attention spans. I have also tutored an 18 year old. I try to find the best way to tutor someone, even if it as simple as being outside or indoors. I am extremely patient. I understand that everyone goes at different speeds.
