I have always been an honors student and am currently taking the highest levels of math (AP Calculus) and spanish (Spanish 5) at my high school. I am involved in Peer Mentors at my school and have tutored multiple students in a variety of subjects. I have also tutored students outside of school, mostly in math. Calculus II is one of my top subjects! Calculus 2 is a little more difficult than calculus 1. The primary reason is the integration or antiderivation that must be learned. Integration is the most important concept to take away from calculus 2. Basically integration is the area under the curve and it is backwards derivation in respect to something. The hard part of the course is applying integration techniques to solve for various problems. I consider myself a good tutor for this subject according to peers I have tutored I can explain this concept very clearly.

I am a Mechanical Engineering and Geology dual major with a 3.6 GPA. I understand mathematics very well and have tutored fellow students in math and physics, successfully for years. I have a passion for learning and love when I can help others learn complex material and pass classes. I have aced College Math up through Differential Equations and Calculus 3 algebra, trigonometry and geometry are foundations of the higher mathematics and therefore I understand them extremely well. My teaching style is like a coach. I show the student the method to solve the problem and then I observe, correct and praise the student while he/she solves similar problems. It is important to explain the underlining principle in the problem so the student will be able to solve similar problems without just memorizing a few rules.
