I love teaching. I us a guiding method of teaching. Because I believe that students learn the most when they do the work themselves, but sometimes they need someone there to motivate them or to guide them in the right direction. I feel this works in group studies also, but, the difference being is that all the student will be involved in a group discussion.
I am a student that has a drive of excellence. I graduated from Northern Ill. Univ in 2010, as cum laude. I hold a B.S. in BioChemistry. I have experience as a tutor, which I obtained while as a student at NIU. I would tutor other students with in the chemistry, math, and biology departments.

As an experienced K-12 substitute teacher, my work extended from the inner city to the county schools. I had the opportunity to instruct students with various ability levels and learning styles. During the 2008-2009 school term I served as an AmeriCorps VISTA in a middle school working as tutor, special projects assistant, and mentor. I hold a BS degree in Sociology and expect to earn a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2010. Graduate school taught me to converse on every level; to write research papers, essays, and content specific lesson plans that conform to IL Learning Standards. As a MacMurray College graduate, I was hard working towards my area of studies and was driven to excel in any subject I was enrolled in. I was a double major and had a minor as well. My majors were History and Criminal Justice with a Psychology minor. I earned the History and Criminal Justice Department Awards at Graduation and I also Graduated with Honors in History scoring A marks in every History class. I was the Criminal Justice and History tutor for my Sophomore and Junior years at MacMurray. I also graduated with a 3.5 GPA overall.
