Psychology is one of my top subjects!

Most of my experience is informal with tutoring family members/church members/friends in whatever areas they were struggling. Nearly everyone was pleased with what I was able to teach them and they showed improvement. In addition to tutoring, I have also mentored. In particular, at Emory University, I have for three years served as a mentor to incoming freshmen. I have helped them become acclimated to Emory and have also helped them create plans for courses and future plans. Therefore, I am confident in my tutoring and mentoring abilities.
I start out with discussing the area of weakness with the student and then try to investigate why this might be the area of weakness. A Little Bit About Me...

I've taught as an Adjust Professor for both Georgia College and State University and for Macon College. During a 29 year career in manufacturing, I performed a myriad of training classes and programs for companies like YKK, Georgia-Pacific, the Trane Company, and more. I'm completed multiple college level English classes, Statistics and Accounting classes, History and have taught classes in Marketing, Organizational Development, and have worked with more employees than I can count re basic mathematical skills, reading comprehension, and more. I've authored three published books of southern humor and have written scores of published columns/articles.

A Little Bit About Me...

It is a joy to be able to work with children. I understand that we all learn in different ways and I like working with students to help them find which way is best for them. I am driven, determined and goal oriented. I like to tap into a child's passion and find what they are truly passionate about. We all have hidden talents that need tapping into.
I earned my BS in Political Science and obtained a MBA in 2008. I am currently working on my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I tutored students in an array of subjects from 1996-2000. I also tutored and mentored children at Burke Elementary School from 2005-2008. I currently serve as the Chairperson of the Youth Directors Board at my church, which I work with the youth in various areas.
