I believe all children are capable of mastering any subject given the proper dedication. My goal as a tutor is to lead a child to the euphoria of gaining skills needed to obtain a beneficial education. While each child is different, I prefer to have the child review each subject prior to meeting with me and note any particular areas where the child is having difficulty. In this manner the child and I do not waste time discussing items the child understands and we can focus on problem areas. After graduating from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., I returned to Wyoming to work in politics and government. I have been asked to teach chapters on Government in the local high schools as well as teaching Sunday School classes locally in Cheyenne. I serve in the State Legislature as well as working in the community to help youth succeed in their goals. I try to create a fun learning environment, ensuring the youth can ask questions, have flexibility at their learning speed and still master the material in ways that will stay with them. Depending on the subject area, I like to give hypotheticals, questions and real-world examples that will help achieve memorization easier.
