My teaching style relies heavily on feedback from the client. I try to have a phone call with a student to learn what they are having difficulty with but also what their professor might expect from them. Then I get a good sense of their personality to understand the best way to get ideas across to them. There are often roadblocks to learning such as personal hangups or self doubt that must be addressed. Other times it is just a matter of understanding what the person does or does not get.

I believe that it is important to determine how exactly a person learns. Some people are audio learners and need to talk it out. Others learn better by repetition and doing different examples. I have over 25 years experience in managerial accounting in manufacturing. I worked as a cost accountant and financial analyst. I also have some small business experience as well. I have worked with a number of different accounting and ERP systems. I have 27 hours of undergraduate hours in accounting and 18 graduate hours in accounting.
