My comments on tutoring French : I have been teaching children French(and Art) in a private home school program for 18 years. I lived, studied and worked in both Switzerland and Paris, France where I became fluent.I have a BA degree in Fine Arts from Mount Holyoke College, minoring in French. I have also tutored privately in French and Art for years. I have had much success in helping students learn both writing/grammatical skills and speaking skills in French.

I have been teaching Art and French in a private Homeschool Program for 18 years . My Art classes have included Drawing 1, Drawing 2, Painting, Combined media, and Advanced Portfolio Classes. I have taught younger children, starting at the age of 5 both Art and french as well as adults. In the program where I teach, I have primarily taught high school French levels 1-4. I lived outside of Lausanne Switzerland with a family that did not speak English when I was 17 and became fluent in French. I also studied French and Art while living in Paris, France my junior year of college. I lived with a French family and worked as their au pair . In 2007, I graduated from Penn State with a plan of attending graduate school for Creative Writing. I was devastated when I received three rejection letters from schools I admired.
