I will use examples to teach. I will provide students with examples of the correct and incorrect ways to write a sentence. I will show pupils how to proofread their work for spelling and grammatical errors so that they do not rely solely on their spellchecker.

My comments on tutoring Composition : I have been teaching writing for 30 years at LaGuardia Community College, in NYC. I have helped many students from around the world to become fine writers of the English language. I am patient and understanding.

In my experience, the majority of students are highly motivated. This is, for me, the key to success. My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School.
