Learning is a team effort. I believe my experience as a Division I cross country runner has endowed me with a team mentality I use each time I tutor a student. Establishing a team setting reassures those I tutor that we will work together to achieve every goal we set. Because I have tutored students of all ages, I can easily identify what must be taught and how to teach it to meet a student's specific needs and learning style.
In my four years as a professional tutor at the University of Evansville writing center, I focused on improving all aspects of a well-written essay, including the researching process.
