A Little Bit About Me...

I am seeking a degree in Finance and Actuarial Sciences from the University of Connecticut. I achived a high level of proficiency in math from a very young age and finish Advanced Calc 3 and a half years ago. I have tutored a student for his entire second year of high school in all subjects with noticable GPA improvements.

Many of these children were living in more challenging home environments, sometimes lacking a father and or living in a troubled neighborhood. I began my tutoring experience in the fall of 2009 with a program called Breakthrough Manchester. It serves underprivileged students in the area who do not have the resources to succeed. They ranged from grade 5 to 8. With Breakthrough I worked one-on-one with students as well as in a classroom setting in which I conducted my own lessons. I helped students with a variety of subjects such as science, math, social studies, geography, and even organizational skills.
